Valentines day is just around the corner. The season of love and selflessness. One of the biggest challenge is 'THE GIFT' part ...... Gifts for that special someone...We all have that special someone 'a partner or a friend' or even a family member... I remember years ago when I exchanged gifts with my best friend at work ..it was special.
From experience I know receiving the wrong present from your man or friend can put you off for most of the day ..Just when you thought they knew you enough, he shocks you with a dress in that colour you really can only be seen dead in .......or that 6 inch heel shoes when you can barely walk in a 3 inch, or a fitness CD. Hello?? Do i look unfit to you??... You keep saying this for the rest of the day.
Oh well. Are you thinking of buying a gift for a fabstar or someone who has it all?? I just want to share a few secrets on buying the gift that will at least be received with a meaningful smile...
Can I please advise that if you're thinking of buying certain gifts that are in the branded group of Handbags, Sun Glasses or Wristwatches,
If they are not designer brands (not imitations) ...save the money you intend to spend on the brandless one ..It will not be appreciated, it will be ridiculed... that's me straight talking. There are many other things you can buy that will cost much less than the brandless product and will be highly appreciated.........Believe me when i say that.
Back to what you can buy
1. Any designer product will be great ...This could be accessories or lifestyle items.
2. Designer fragrance is the easiest gift to give. You can never go wrong ..You will hardly hear 'I don't like the fragrance' ...The packaging should be eye catching - that's you making an effort.
who wouldn't want this on their fab dressing table???
3. Jewellery: Diamonds are a Girls best friend -honestly - this is so true. She will adore you and adulate you in front of her friends.
Jewellery is also a tricky present ... If you can't afford to buy platinum, gold, diamond or swarovski ..please find another present such as a picture frame ...with sweet words. Believe me that will worth much more than a glamorous looking jewellery that changes its colour only a week later. That's your street cred down the drain! ...I'm thinking Emeralds!!!!!!!!!!
4. Shoes: A woman can't ever have enough shoes. Knowing what will compliment her wardrobe is key to getting it right. ....' I'm thinking a Classic Stiletto' ...Make sure the heel isn't too high or too low. Let it be classic .....If you're thinking priceless ..I'm thinking Manolo!
I will not advise clothing items as a gift, It happens to be one of my worse gifts. Clothing is personal and getting the right fit is key. Unless we are are talking Armani suits.... Focus on accessories and let the woman choose her own dresses... that way you avoid all the cursing done behind your back!
If these fashion items are out of your reach ...THINK CREATIVE!
We love the latest technology too ....The slim Apple mac can almost fit into our handbags and slick lifestyles...
you've got the talking photo album.... You can select your favourite pictures and record lovely messages to store forever (romantic)
Oh yeah.... Surprise her with the IPAD .. let her be the first to own one ..even before you!
What can be more romantic than a personalised message written and stored in a bottle ...PRICELESS!!
We surely love our pictures and memories ..select your most memorable pictures or even so, give her pictures of herself not you ....(yeah) and present it in a digital photo frame ....The smile you'll get will be priceless
Or even still, give her a digital photo keyring so she can take all her memories with her at all times. We all love showing off our cute growing kids, family, partners, travels, among many to friends and strangers!
Goodluck Guys ..... I only said what many wished they could tell you! Mind you these rules are not written in stone ....Different strokes, for Different Folks....
But if you have a Fab woman ...then think Fab!
Guys need 2 read this!!! Really nice n Fab... keep it up!
