The Print Party......Spotlight: Dorothy Perkins..

"Create your own style...let it be unique for yourself and yet Identifiable with others." - Anna Wintour
Taking a leaf from the most powerful woman in fashion, Vogue America editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour, has made prints one of her trademark look. I love the way it softens her look and keeps her on trend season in, season out!

One who has taken prints by a storm must be the lady of the moment 'Miranda Kerr'. She's proven there's more to her than Victoria Secrets Bras and Knickers. Definately one of our favourite looks this week! Love how she works prints with neutral accessories, and pairs a neutral print with bold colour..Fashion A Grade!

Who else has been seen rocking the print trend this week? Fashion guru Sarah  Jessica Parker, US X-factor sweetheart Demi Lovato, Socialite - Paris Hilton, Katharine McPhee among others.

You too can 'Print crash' the party! Step out in prints like the famous folks in style and for far less. Prints are kind to fuller figures as they are to slim silhouettes.
The rule is : - 'the fuller you are, the bigger your prints'.

Gemma Collins from the only way is Essex, wearing one of the dresses from her plus size clothing range!

I've chosen to share my picks from Dorothy perkins as they are currently offering up to 25% off everything in store or Online. Visit www.dorothyperkins.com..Grab your prints for less. To get the discount, enter the code DPFWE when you reach the checkout. Must end tomorrow 09/09/12.

You walk past a dress on the railing at a store and look back for a second glance; that's the dress you take to the till! - My best shopping tip!

That easily describes the feeling when I saw this Dorothy Perkins new season Polka dot print shift dress.

Fashion Lessons for the classy yet stylish look.

One of the first things I do when I wake up - is to open up my reading list which consist of the recent celebrity fashion pictures, fashion news as well as what's new in our stores -'Sad' - I'm sure a lot of you are thinking...Well these keep me on top of my game, plus I learn a lesson or two on what's hot and what's not!

The sun's been out lately and many know it's time for the must have summer accessory 'sunglasses' ...This alone can transform your look to fab, geek, military, diva..name it.

Christian Dior have launched their latest summer styles ...I love Dior and have picked my favourite summer style...I'm thinking Divalicious!

This rectangular shaped labelled Christian Dior sunglasses is all you need to add FAB to your summer look. It's well suited to those with oval or round faces to soften up your features.

Our Famous folks have been spotted in these styles...A sure way to glam up a casual outfit!

It's a 'no - wear' for those with rectangular faces as it only makes your chin look even more squared.. Styles that curve at the sides will soften and flatter your best facial features as seen worn by Anna Wintour -Vogue Chief Editor.( oh how I want your job.. :( )

Studying celebrity fashion do teach you a thing or two about style. I've chosen two pictures of Millet ( upcoming model) and Nicole Kidman ( Actress) ...

Fashion lessons

1. Bare either leg or chest but never both.

2. choose one focal point at a time to emphasise -Millet's oversize ethnic inspired print clutch over a neutral dress ensures she stays classic-on trend --looking 'A-list'. Paired against a patterned or bold coloured dress - might have each piece fighting eachother for attention.

3. Find what fits you and stick to it - Nicole's streamlined body is always dressed in simple lines to show off her slender figure. The Nehru high neck collar is very flattering on women with a small bust size. A short length skirt or dress with statement shoes draws attention to your gorgeous beautiful legs..If you've got it - flaunt it in style.

4.Choose a trend that shows off your personality or personal style. There is no bigger faux - pas in fashion than outdated fashion - On the contrary, the famous saying 'when you're in fashion you can do no wrong' . . Among the many trends, Nicole's choice of neutral monochrome theme is true to her classic style. Never over the top yet so glamorous and sophisticated. Millet's choice of ethnic print and over size clutch is true to one with a dramatic sense of style. Learn the trend- adapt it to your look.

5. Finally, Every detail helps - What a bore these two dresses would have been without the metallic detail on the sleeves and bottom hem of Millet's dress and the white and black attachment on the top half of Nicole's tux dress?? Common! That's why they're stars ...It's the difference that makes the difference !

Master these rules and watch your life change ....People will begin to see you differently...Don't forget you can also email me on fabstarimage@googlemail.com for your style, shopping and image needs specifically tailored for you xx

The sun's out ....I'm getting my sunnies out ... and staying out till it goes down!

Stay Fab!
