Fashion activist - Elizabeth Cline, criticised the fashion choices of First Lady, Michelle Obama as 'cheap' for wearing imported 'mass produced' clothes.
Brands highlighted included H&M and Zara! I presume she thinks Michelle will be a better role model if she wore couture from high end designers. Well, all high street mass produced pieces aren't all trash. Zara clothing is a popular choice among various celebrities. Our favourite princess, the Duchess of Cambridge steps out in Zara every now and then, and can you tell the difference??
Without fast fashion, I wonder how the apparel industry will survive, especially in this hard economic times. Why buy homemade couture when you can step out in a well tailored high street brand?
The price conscious shopper is shopping savvy. It's not about the brand name, it's about putting on a garment that fits, in the right colour for your skin tone and neatly tailored. The Zara garment tick these boxes.
Don't only save by shopping for your daily fashion pieces on the high street, get it for far less at the Zara sale starting 12:00am today 28th of June 2012.
