How short can you go this summer???

How warm can it get? 'warmer' - according to the weather forecasts. How short can you go?? 'Shorter' going by what's in store!

We're loving shorts, more so - loving the nautical and military look. Summer is here and shorts just got edgier- be it graphic prints, animal prints, floral, checks, polka dots, stripe, lace or leather -own one to be on this season shorts band wagon - two or more to alter your look and 'all' if you love them just like I do!

Alexa Chung - voted world most stylish woman by Vogue magazine last year, has this look nailed at every opportunity; casually paired with boyfriends t-shirt or with a feminine blouse or shirt for her geek-chic trademark look. Other celebrities such as Jessica Alba, Mischa Barton and our very own Rihanna have been spotted with this season micro shorts, whether it's just taking a coffee break, a walk in the park with kids, Night outs or red carpet...There are shorts for every occasion.

Shorts are not just for holidays, they are an every day wear. Are your legs rid of hairs and ready for summer?? I'm thinking nautical, military and floral influences.

Navy shorts is all you need to build upon for your nautical look. Pair with this seasons coveted piece -'the straw hat' - and be a FAB length away from the pack.

1. Evans Trilby straw hat £12 2. Oasis large dome stud earring £6 3. River Island Blue and white stripe anchor drops 5.99 4. Oasis Afro clash bangle stack £14 5. Miss Selfridge cross pearl multi row necklace £15 6.River Island crochet trim vest £19.99 7. Oasis navy cotton sateen shorts £35 8. New Look gold button white cardi £16 9. New Look gold button red cardi £16 10. Miss Selfridge polka dot bow corsage £7 11. River Island red and white stripe anchor drops £5.99 12. John Lewis navy hobo bag collection £89 13. River Island Yatch brooch £9.99

Rihanna's been spotting the straw hat look accessorised with pink roses, get a similar look as below...Peg shorts are suited to those with slim thighs and pert bottoms, but could make one with heavy thighs look clumsy as it separates the thigh at the point where it hugs the flesh causing it to fold ..stay clear! Go for a style with a wider hem as worn by Rihanna.
Remember this rule - Never wear an outfit that stops or hugs tightly at the widest part of your body.

1. Asos corsage boater hat £28 2. River Island floral printed bloomers £14.99 3. Dorothy Perkins neutral drape cardi £28 4. Topshop hobos bobble straw bag £32

A mix of neutral and a touch of red ...Stay current with this season most loved colour' grey' and pair with these coveted pieces - animal print scarves and straw hat...

1. Miss Selfridge lips ring £5 2. New Look stripe long line vest £6 3. New look white button twill shorts £18, 4. Dorothy Perkins sleeveless belted cardi £25 5. Oliver Bonas wrap animal print scarf £8.50 6. La-redoute somewhere masculine inspired hat £25 7. Miss Selfridge pearl effect necklace £12

Wild life meets sea life ..Be adventurous ..Carry a cardi knowing we get four seasons in a day! Tie your hair up..you really want to show the world your style credentials in this simple yet statement camisole.

1. 2. Oasis battenburg flower back vest £15 3. River Island stripe shorts £24 4. New Look gold button navy cardi £16 5. House of Fraser Yumi wraps leopard print scarf £16 6. Wallis navy short sleeve cardi £33

More shorts to covet.......................

1. Debenhams red bow shorts £12.50 2. Oasis bow paper bag shorts £28 3. Oasis white bow Elie shorts £40 4. Oasis denim military shorts £38 5. Oasis leather shorts £60 6. Mark by Marc Jacobs linen blue shorts £160

1. Topshop strip gold button shorts £28 2. New Look ticking stripe shorts £25 3. Red Herring pink ditsy shorts £16 4. New Look lace shorts £20 5. River Island animal print shorts £19.99 6. Miss Selfridges creamy spotty bow shorts £29

Not sure what to make of the weather...I've been waiting patiently for the sun..now it's here I'm out of breath! At least the shorts are well suited to the weather and fabulously fashionable......so folks, when selecting your picks, remember there is one rule and one rule only -

WHO WINS TOMORROW 'STYLE, PR OR SUBSTANCE'

I'm going political but not quite. The day of reckoning is here....counting down to decision time.
David Cameron, Nick Clegg and Gordon Brown -Who wins - We decide! What's significant in this campaign is that the biggest decider has been between who has got charisma/ style and who hasn't. The world and even politics have moved on!

Do you still need convincing that Image Matters... It's almost fair to say the election is between style, PR and substance. Style being 'Nick Clegg', PR - 'David Cameron' and Substance - 'Gordon Brown'. Taking notes from the three televised debates between the party leaders, saw the rise and rise of Nick Clegg - putting the liberal democrats back into the election driving seat, even though he seemed out of his depth. He was definately the most articulate, confident and stylish. He was full of charisma and straight away - he was the public preferred leader.

David Cameron on the other hand is a man of PR also thought to be young and fresh. He has been the nations favourite for quite sometime, leaving Gordon Brown to fight with all that's within him, despite his success in tackling the world recession.

In face of the current economic climate, thinking the British public would be voting for a leader that can take us out of this recession and secure the economy ...We want a leader who looks good to represent the nation.

'The way you look lets you through the door, when you're in ..what you know keeps you in the room'. Having said that, I wouldn't be surprised if the conservative sweep the votes tomorrow. Unless the Liberal democrats cause an upset making conservative short of the majority votes...Labour might as well wave the seat goodbye !

The moral of the story is - take your image seriously, work on your speech, posture and over all Image ..Let what you don't say speak for you. Let your wardrobe choices speak volumes and inject confidence, making you 'first choice' always! Don't just depend on what you know.. you might never get the chance to prove it!

It'll be exciting watching who wins and why. 'Style, PR or Substance' .......policies?? what policies?

Faith shoes now in administration!

Slowly but surely I thought...... Our faithful ol' Faith shoes will be next on the 'credit crunch' firing line! Ravel..Dolcis..Shelly's.....I'm losing count. Faith has finally gone into administration! My one time favourite high street specialist shoe store until recent years where it has clearly lacked in style, flair and options; yet fairly high prices. Faith shoes are known for quality and comfort..and are made for the stylish - classic young woman.... How can I forget they are one of the very few stores who offer the free re-heeling service...how useful that has been over the years!

They are currently not taking any online orders, but stores and concessions still running with up to 50% off old season stock and 10% off this new season stock. Go to www.faith.co.uk to view your various options or to find your nearest faith store.

This might be your last chance to lay your hands on all things Faith..although I wouldn't be running to the till at this point if I was you, but will keep my ears open for further reductions... On the other hand..Like Barratts and priceless shoes who went into administration early last year ...Faith shoes might still continue to run on our high street for years to come...
